WALK FOR AUTISM 2009
It was a wonderful sunny day for the sixth annual Chicago Walk Now for Autism held on Saturday, May 16th. Over 16,000 people came together at Chicago's Soldier Field to support autism research! The 5-mile walk took us along the gorgeous lakeside.
Rudy and Dan, two of our staff members, organized Team Kimberly and Daniel in honor of our two autistic children. Dan works with the Big Boys group here at the home, and they raised $500 through car washes, selling donated comforters and making our green shirts for the Walk. The boys had the honor of joining Ruby and Dan on the Walk.

After the Walk, the boys played at the free carnival at Soldier Field. They also enjoyed the entertainment, inflatables, petting zoo, music, food and fun. We met Chicago Bears player P. Davis, who signed our shirts. We had a great time!
They enjoyed being there to walk with so many people to support autism and Kimmy and Danny. The boys got to see how any others have children like Kimmy and Danny and what they are doing to help them.
