July 4th, 2009

The Sisters and children had a festive 4th of July attending the city parade and fireworks. The children enjoyed the fire trucks, motorcycles, antique cars, and the marching bands. They cheered as the floats passed by and hoped that they would get some candy. We ended up with two bags full. The Home prepared a great cookout of hamburgers and ribs with all the fixings.

Later in the evening, we went to the park to watch the fireworks. The children has some poppers, whipper snappers, and glow bracelets to keep them busy while we waited for the fireworks to start. All the children enjoyed them as they laid on their blankets. They went to bed quietly; they were so tired.
