Or do you call them Monkey Balls?

This was a fun morning. We took the big boys to our farmhouse to pick them up. According to Sr. Emmanuel, they are used in the house to keep the spiders and bugs from coming in during the winter months. She was giving them to her staff. Sr. Emmanuel said she would treat the children to a movie if they would help her pick them up. Who can pass up that offer?

Can you imagine the look on our boys' faces when they saw the monkey balls? They look like green brains, and since they come off trees, have sap that sticks to everything. It was a lot of to see them pick up the rotten ones that fell apart in their hands. They had a good time running around and playing while they worked.
