Christmas Lights at the Zoo

We went to see the Christmas Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo on Monday the 21st. The weather was cold, but the lights were beautiful. From the ice sculptors to the animals, the children had lots to see. Many of the exhibits were open so that we could go in a warm up a little. The children really enjoyed the otter exhibit (the one with all the wires). They could crawl and slide like otters do in the water. "One more time Sister. Please!!" I had to let them do it one more time, even I wanted to crawl in there and try it. We lost track of time and soon it was already 7pm. So we started toward the front of the park. The zoo had a beautiful carousel, and "Please Sister!" I had to say ok. The trip home was so quite. The cold, fresh air and walking wore them out. All had a great time.
